Quite a large, predominantely black and white coloured bird, but have a beautiful blue flash on the wings, they are often seen in pairs. They build quite huge nests which double as a fortress against attacking Crows. The Magpie is quite a social bird. They have a wide and varied diet, including grain, insects, and can often be seen scavenging for food around waste bins, they will pinch and eat young chicks and eggs.
