Jackdaws
A familiar small black crow, the Jackdaw is an expert flier and flocks can often be seen over farmland, wooded areas and quarries. They have a sharp exclamatory call chack, uttered in flight. They breed in loose colonies settling in holes in trees, rocky outcrops and chimneys as nest sites. The Jackdaws pair for life and can often be seen flying alongside each other. They can become quite tame .
