One of the country’s smallest birds, but with a big voice. It lives in a wide range of habitats, from thick woodlands to open ground and anywhere between sea level and the high mountainous areas of the UK. They tend to be a ground feeder preferring thick bramble patches or deep thickets and hedge bottoms.
