Meadow Pipit
A common sight on the moorland stone walls and grassy areas of Wensleydale and Swaledale moors. Unfortunately it is high up on the food chain for the Merlin, it is also a favourite for the Cuckoo who often fills up the Pipit’s nest with its own egg, discarding the Pipits eggs whilst the Pipit fosters the Cuckoo’s egg.
