Seen on the shore line, be it a fresh water lake or the sea shore. The Grey Heron will often stand perfectly still for minutes on end, then walk slowly in the shallow water looking for fresh fish. It has a long yellow dagger like beak, predominantly grey body with black edging to its wings and long legs.
