Set in around eight acres of lawn and beautiful gardens this Georgian manor house was originally built around 1779.  Situated in Christleton, just 3 miles from Chester.

Today the hotel is a beautiful 4AA star country house hotel and spa, situated in a tranquil setting with 37 rooms. It is full of charm and character with each room individually designed to meet the needs of today’s discerning holiday maker. Ideally situated for visiting Chester, the racecourse, Chester zoo or the Blue Planet Aquarium. There are easy road links to Manchester, Liverpool and North Wales.  There is a large car park, tennis and croquet courts and provisions can be made if you wish to visit by helicopter.

The restaurant serves an excellent menu using many locally produced ingredients from the kitchen garden. It was a treat to dine in the restaurant.

At the time of our visit September 2020 we were in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic, the hotel was Covid secure with a clearly marked system in place for getting around the hotel and sanitising stations round every turn. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful which all made for a very pleasant stay.
