Roe Deer
Roe Deer are native to Britain and are the most widespread in the country. They are reasonably small, about the size of a goat. They have a sandy red-brown fur in summer and a grey-brown fur in winter. The females have a whitish patch on their rump. similar to a inverted heart whereas the males have a kidney shaped patch. They have a short stubby tail like a tuft, a black nose and a white chin. The males have short antlers.
