RHS Harlow Carr
The most northerly of all the RHS Gardens, Harlow Carr is situated on the outskirts of Harrogate, in North Yorkshire. A walk through these stunning gardens is a delight any time of year. Set in a natural valley the gardens have been designed to blend in with the exsisting countryside. A small stream flows through the valley bottom and several woodland walks have been created around the stream. There are several themed gardens to enjoy but the highlight must be the herbaceous borders, the variety of colours are quite remarkable. There is an excellent book and gift shop as well as the garden centre where many of the plants seen around the site can be purchased. After a walk around the gardens it is a delight to pop into Bettys cafeteria and restaurant and enjoy their wares.
