Humbolt Penguins
These lovely small Penguins grow to about 70 cm in height. They are only found along the Pacific coastline of South America. At the moment there are around 12,000 breeding pairs of Humbolt's, with about 8,000 pairs in Chile and 4,000 pairs in Peru. They are undergoing a serious decline in numbers caused by overfishing of prey speices, entanglement in fishing nets and the commercial Guano removal.
