Situated four miles East of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, Knaresborough is a picturesque market town built on the banks of the River Nidd. The Castle was built by the Normans in 1100 and the small ruins provide a superb viewpoint overlooking the river towards the railway viaduct. A view that has graced many a bisuit tin
