Today Whitby is a popular small seaside town on the Yorkshire coast. During the Victorian times Whitby was a bustling ship building town and busy fishing port. I am quite fasinated about the town, my Grandmother was born here in the late 1890's and it felt quite poignant walking along Henrietta Street and Grape Street in the old town, knowing that as a child she lived and played along those streets. Must go back soon.
