Kenya Birds
As a first time visitor to Kenya I was somewhat taken back by the abundance of both animal and bird life I saw whilst in Eastern Africa. For some reason or other prior to setting off, I had been focusing on the wild animals and hadn't paid much attention to the birds. It was whilst we were staying at the Mountain Lodge I realised what an abundance of birds there where. Fortunately I bought one of Jonathan Scott's excellent books on Birds of East Africa which turned out to be a bible during our stay. Lake Nakuru imparticular was an oasis for birds, and somewhere where I will definitely be visiting again in the future.
