I think the Impala is a beautiful looking animal. It is a relative of the wilderbeest. It looks elegantly proportioned and has a lovely chestnut coloured coat, with black and white stripes on its rump and tail. The males have a stunning set of black annulated horns. We saw them in large numbers at Lake Nakuru and in the Mara. They are extremely fast runners and prodigious jumpers.
