Lying South East of Keswick is a rocky outcrop standing some 1,200ft above sea level, Walla Crag. The walk from Keswick is probably the easiest route and the views from the upper reaches of the fell and onto Walla Crag looking over Derwent water are superb and well worth the effort. Walla Crag can also be reached from the Great Wood though this is still a pleasant walk it is probably a little steeper than that from Keswick.
