We drove from the Lion’s Gate bridge North to Grouse Mountain which lies in Northern Vancouver. This high mountain eyrie is reached by a sky ride cable car which gives amazing views looking over Vancouver and the surrounding area. The journey from 950 feet to the upper station at 4,100 feet takes about ten minutes. At the top there is a restaurant, bistro bars and gift shops etc. During the summer months there are shows and demonstrations including the Lumberjack show that we saw. During the winter months the area is transformed into a skiing resort and is renowned for its skiing and snowboarding activities.
