Malcesine lies on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. The first thing that strikes you here is the cobbled streets. The red and ochre coloured buildings and palazzi are closely grouped around the castle and harbour. The streets are narrow with lots of boutique shops and cafes. Monte Baldo the highest mountain on lake Garda dominates the town.
