After several hours on top of the mountains it was nice to have a break in the town of Moena (1184 m.), the largest town in Valle di Fassa is called “The Fairy of the Dolomites”.

The town is similar to a typical Austrian style ski resort and very much geared towards the winter sports season. Throughout the Summer the area is popular with cyclists and runners with several top class competitions drawing competitors from around the world.
