Spring Bank Holiday with the rambling club were always great weeks and I would look forward to them with relish.

In May 1979 we ventured up to the Isle of Arran and spend the week walking all the Northern Fells of the Island. We always seemed to have pretty good weather whilst we were out and only on one or two occasions can I remember that we had to change our walk due to the weather conditions.

I love the Isle of Arran, I can remember my parents taking my brother and I on holiday there in 1965, since then I have been back on average once every ten years, I am definitely due to make a return visit shortly.
